The writing industry is at odds with Artificial Intelligence and authors are, understandably, very paranoid about what this means for their projects.
AI is a very useful tool, and I believe it has a place in the creative process. What matters to me is the quality of the finished work, not simply how it was produced. I welcome authors who have used AI responsibly, provided their work is original, thoughtfully developed, and meets professional standards.
However, I won’t accept mass-produced AI content, plagiarism, or material that infringes on the rights of others. All I ask is that authors are open about how they’ve used AI, so we can work together to find the best publishing route while respecting current retailer and distributor requirements.
